I am sure that i am overreacting but the girls don't appear to be eating much and it was suggested that i gave them layers mash how sloppy does this have to be ? The girl in the shop hadn't got a clue. Do i put veg in? Also can they have dried fruit and if so does it need soaking?
Sorry to be a pain to all you guys who know the answers ,no one i know has chooks and the local "experts" ie my parents haven't had hens since the war!!

It can be fed dry ! I used to use it but they seem to waste more than they eat, it is better for hens that don't free range though as it takes longer to eat the amount they need, I use a spring feeder that takes longer than just eating the pellets from a bowl and gives them something to do !
