One of our Pekin bantams has become ill. She is very quiet and fluffed up and is doing runny, mustard coloured poohs. She seems to be off her food and water and when she stands if you gently push her she falls over. Shes about 8 or 9 months old.

Any ideas?

Has she been wormed?

Does she have any other symptoms? - Darker around her face + wattles or paler wattles, breathing problems or noises when she breathes, any tremors, feeling hotter or cooler than normal..

Any of these would point closer to a disease or disorder - definitely get her wormed if you haven't already

Unfortunately she died in the night.

It was the first time that one of our bantams had died, and both my daughters (5 and 6) went into school in floods of tears. Crying or Very sad

She was extremely skinny when we took her out this morning. The remaining two look 100% healthy and happy, so hopefully she didn't pass anything on to these two. We're going on holiday this time next week so we won't replace her until we get back, by which time we should be certain that the remaining two are ok.
