This little Bantam sitting quietly in a nesting box has real attitude - when she has the mind too she chases the stags that live next door they are about 5-6 years old!
This week she decided to try to hatch a ceramic egg - so I have popped 5 mallard and a cayuga egg under her to see if she will hatch - all laid within 5 days so fingers crossed.

| Our psycho chicken Suzy Sussex who would take your hand off just for fun if you tried to take an egg away before she got up has been a brilliant mum to her chicks. good luck! |

The silly thing is that when she is broody - no problem - when not sitting - has she got attitude!!!
Normally I wont get near her - but at the moment she loves being stroked and lots of attention - nice and peaceful. |

| Happy to report that we have 2 little ducklings and the remainder of the eggs were not viable - but 2 from what could have been nothing is a bonus |

At the moment she is insisting on trying to hatch a ceramic egg - advice needed on switching her off!
Have tried locking her out of the hut but that means the others cannot get to the nesting boxes to lay.
Also when she stops being broody she goes back to phsyco Chick mode |
