You probably wont need it. I didn't bother - the only thing is I make sure my chickens are wormed before the turkeys hatch.

Itsy, do you keep the turkeys apart from the chickens. How old do they have to be before they are safe from blackhead

No they all run together, but they do sleep seperately. . . but that's because the chicken hut isn't really big enough for them, and also I think they can have a tendancy to bully but I have had them in it when the floods were up. I think yours will be sleeping in barns wont they? How long before hatching?

I think blackhead is a chick/poult thing but I can be wrong. . . somebody will no doubt say . . . Very Happy

Yes - but make sure your chooks are wormed before the poults get outside.

They only went in last Friday but thought I'd better start looking for a feed supplier just incase I manage to hatch some. The feed seems hard to get here unless i want it in 2ton lots.
Marriges do turkey feed but my nearest supplier is 200miles away.
Just had a thought, I'll be going to the Royal Cornwall show before hatch day, I might get some there. Very Happy

I still wouldn't bother, my turkey crumb arrived at my local feed merchants just as the poults were moving onto growers Shocked so I kind of gave up and they just have the chicken food now. The only thing you may want is turkey finisher if you are doing any for Christmas.
