Just found my chickens fighting over a slow-worm, tried to get it off them, but before i got there one of them had managed to swallow the whole thing!!

Its a shame as i havn't seen one in years.. better news, we have 4 mallards nesting on by the stream at the bottom of our garden Smile

A slow worm, good grief!!!

We have slowworms at the bottom of our garden and some of them are huge...I take it that it won't harm the chicken in any way?

Im not sure haha... i think it was pretty much dead, so i hope not.. they seem fine Smile it was probs about 6-7 inches long!

It looks like a snake but is actually a legless lizard. They are quite common here. Wink
