I have a silkie/black rock cross sat on 7 eggs and its day 19. Yesterday I set up another hutch a few yards away with a regular white silkie sat on 6 eggs.
When I went up this morning the white silkie was sat on the first set of eggs whilst mother to be was out getting some fresh air!
I put the white silkie back in its own hutch and left them alone. I went back later and another hen (a Columbine) has jumped the 6' fence and was sitting on the eggs whilst the silkie/black rock cross was out again pecking at the grass!
It seems that eveyone is getting in on the act of sitting on the eggs - has this happened to anyone else? |

| Lol, put the silkie cross back on the eggs and make sure the others cant get to her.. |
