Hi, i got my 1st lot of chickens (7 of them) a couple of months ago and all has been fine til the last week when a couple of them have started to jump up at my fingers, I know they are only trying to get food but it does hurt especially when they do it to my 3 year old.
They alway have food on hand so they cant be hungry and I dont hand feed them.
Does any one have any tips on how to stop this behaviour???
Any advice welcome

Thank you
Sara

Seriously, the water pistol is a great tool for training animals, dogs and chickens! We use it to train my friend's dog who comes to stay on occasion, in fact I had to yesterday when he started to jump up at one of my chickens that I was holding, worked a treat.

I'm sorry.. I have now got a mental picture of you holding a chicken under one arm while pointing a water pistol saying "get back or the chicken gets it"...very funny... Laughing Laughing
