We candled at 7 days and then at 14, unfortunately only 6 out of 12 were fertile on both dates. I suppose this is to be expected from ebay.
The good news is the egg we got for free at Melton Mowbray Market from a light Sussex is OK and also quite a bit bigger than the Indians.
I think my wife did well to poach it..lol.. well it was sitting there in the auction crates..
So only 7 days (ish) to go.

Cool! Hope you get a good hatch - often shipping can jostle the eggs enough that they don't start to develop, but at least you got half on the go!

she did try to convince the agri collage to get some ,they have now been allowed a collage dog , apparently ai is the sticking block ,and they would need a lot of chickens to feed everyone Rolling Eyes

Well got some more eggs. 6 Injuns from a great looking set of birds. I also have 12 faverolles in with them...Keeping my fingers crossed. We have also been given a great looking chick (injun) as it was alone and we were about to purchase a couple of chicks from a nearby farm.
