I have just hatched 9 out of 12 in George's incubator, 1 was not fertile the other 2 died somewhere midway I put 4
of the 12 under a broody at day 18 2 of which hatched and gave her the rest of the chicks as soon as they were
dry and ready, she seems to be looking after them well they are in the greenhouse in a dog crate for a few
days until we have a move around they started hatching yesterday and tomorrow is day 21 candled the
last 3 as nothing happening

She is only a baby herself hatched last September but was the most solid of the broodies
and the others have given up so relieved I chose the right one
she is looking after the chicks so thats one less thing to worry about. |

| I love them! I'm hoping to get a couple of Silkies soon. Better get to work on my run though. Well done. |
