The children found a couple of cuttlefish on the beach when we had a sunny day recently! They brought them home for the chicks (5 weeks old now) but I have not let them give the cuttlefish to the chicks until I have checked with the oracles (PKF) that it is ok. I have soaked said cuttles in fresh water to remove as much salt, so over to the experts.... Just out of interest - what does the cuttlefish do for chooks? Is it just a treat or is there a 'health' reason for giving it to them?
