I am almost the same as you as I recently borrowed a friend's incubator and managed to get 2 chicks from the 3 I put in. I have now bought my own and currently have 24 eggs incubating. They are 12 Plymouth Rock bantams, 6 Lavender Araucanas and 6 Barnevelders It's so addictive!! I bought an incubator from Attila the Hen from here, Its an octagon 10 auto turn incubator, and it came today!! im sooo excited! Ill sort it out all tomorrow and get it all set up for the eggs on thursday, sooo excited! Also im collecting the eggs on thursday, should i set the incubator up today or tomoz, im at work tomoz all day so might be better doing it today.? Remember that every time you adjust the temperature, it will take time to register. If you haven't got the instructions, you can download them from the Brinsea website. Bantam eggs are 21 days I'm afraid, although occasionally they hatch a day early - what breed are you getting? Ill set the incubator up today so its ready for thursday, im getting Pekin bantam eggs.. i really did think it was 19 days for bantams haha dont know why lol. But if your instructions say 38.5 i would stick to that....good luck!
