Wouldn't you just know it! 2 days after hatching in the inccy and one of the Brahma bantams has gone broody! I bought 3 of these bantams as broodies only to be told that they don't go broody (kept them because I love them!) - well they do!!!!!! She gets up in the morning eats, poos and drinks then disappears inside for the day. She is letting the other 2 in to lay and to sleep at night but woe betide anyone who dares to try and get the eggs out!!!! She fluffs up, swears, hisses and almost takes your hand off at the wrist Laughing . Now, i've got a spare broody coop so do i let her have a few eggs to hatch or not.

Well the Maran X eggs didn't hatch - DIS at around 2 weeks I would guess - so i may give her a couple of those and a few Bluebelle X , and Sussex Light X (Welsummer dad). He is on borrowed time as he went for me today totally out of the blue - hes almost 12 months old and has been docile up to now!!!!
