One of our chinese geese has been sitting for 31 days now and since yesterday her sister has joined her on the nest , she has been sitting on 12 eggs, have read that 28-32 days is normal - how much longer should we leave them before moving her and the eggs. The Gander is all of a bother and does not like anyone visiting the nest but just puts his head down when I tell him that she is OK, he is 11 years old now and she is a year old.

I have spent alot of time over thelast year talking to them morning and evening and they calm down when I am there but not happy about others even the OH!

Has she stopped laying?
I would have thought she would be laying a new egg every couple of day?

I would leave it 40 days just to be sure.

Thanks
