... ear tagged Baldr, our first born goat. He's got the honour of the 00001 ear-tag for our holding number and my first very nervous effort of doing it. He's forgiven me now he's got two matching earrings (barring one having an RFID tag on it too) and feeding him a big handful of carrots.

No, there was no blood at all! A little bruising on one of the ears, but otherwise fine. Baldr's quite happy still. I'll get a photo a little later this morning.

I think you've done well, too. I found it quite nerve wracking. I was so worried about hurting the goat.

well done bradders i hate that job as well Cool
he looks lovely stephen i must get on and order some
first job for the day for me has been first catch your goats ,who have broken out of the shed ,the big one having learnt that no gap is to small and if that doesn't work brute force will Rolling Eyes
and if you try really hard you can get a bucket handle around a togg stomach Shocked ,which she learnt a little while ago
so the dog had a good morning rounding up goats
but it's a beautiful morning so before i caught them,i took my coffee into the garden sat and watched them graze and do my weeding Wink
