I would think the mum was relieved to have her out, after all the extra time she has been in there!

Long legs would have been easier to get out than chubby ones?! Very Happy

Now that I have gotten a straight 8 hours of sleep Shocked, although it feels like I could double that and still be tired... Confused.......

AC...I am probably the most patient person on the planet...at least it feels that way sometimes. Wink The whispering started to happen the moment it was born. Being there helped me bond with her. She tries to suckle on me as well as her real mom...so the bonding worked. I will be out there everyday, touching her. She will not be skittish for anyone to walk up to her and pick her leg up to look at her hoof. She will not be hand shy when you bring your hand down from her ear area and pass over her eyes, without touching, and then touch her nose. Once she gets about 2 weeks old, I will start using a soft cotton lead to drape across her neck, back, and dangle by her legs.

The newest radio ads will be airing today!!!!!! Shocked They are very amusing actually. Do you want me to send them to Stephen to have him post them again for me?

Lisa....Your funny!!!!! Razz Get some rest means the same thing over here as it does there. Razz I just have too much responsibility to always listen to that advice. Confused But...now that I can stop worrying about Tippy, it will be a bit easier on me. Now the work goes from pacing and checking and muttering.........to cuddles and soft talk and lots of lovin'. This is the best part as I find it very relaxing and comforting to my soul. Wink

Knobby...you are right, she does have very, very long legs. It did give mum a bit of a problem during birthing, but all is well now. I was a bit worried about her yesterday, as her front left 'ankle' was crooked and would not straighten out to support her weight fully. Last night is was much better and this morning she is bearing full weight on it. Sometimes when they are overdue like that and continue to grow and run out of room, you can end up with a permanently deformed leg or two. Shocked She seems to have worked through it though. Very Happy Her legs are almost as long as her mums!!!!!! Shocked The other filly's is about 2/3rds the length of her mums, just so you have a comparison. Both fillies are healthy and fine...but June was on the smaller side, while Knobbette is on the larger side.

I will email the new ads to Stephen then.

I get to keep them, for sure, through the summer. Possibly keep Knobbette for 2-3 years. Very Happy

oh dear, that sounds really nice to keep her for 2-3 years, but how will you let her go? No need to ponder on that, she probably won't want to go anywhere by then and will not get into any horse box to go anywhere but with her new mummy
