Nor me!!!

My 2 come and go as they please. they are ped (Maine Coons) and I have to say I am terrified of Sam getting run over. Not worried about Biggles as he never ventures further than 50 yards at any one time. My main criteria when I moved was to find somewhere way off the road.............. 1/2 a mile, its great!!!! Very Happy

I still worry though when I go up the fields and check the sheep. I had to lamb one on a precipice right by the fence next to a fast road and on the way back down again, I thought I heard Sam calling. I was mortified until I realised it was the branches on the scots pine squeaking Embarassed

I did discuss it with the breeder, she wasnt too keen on me letting them out but when I told her we were off the road, she was happier. Ironically, the best kitten we had (in partnership with the breeder) got run over after wandering off. He was coming 6 months but was very forward and was booked in to be neutered the next week. Needless to say both myself and the breeder were devastated but I still feel guilty. I know its no-ones fault but still. Anyhow, both mine go out every day, if the weather is bad I have to forcibly eject them and they then lie in wait to sneak back in Rolling Eyes

Have fun with the new addition and get the pics sorted out so we can see them!!! Very Happy

Here we go again... prepare for kitty overload!

Cyril and Maude on day three.

Devon Rexes have curly whiskers, but they are also quite brittle and
break and it is a very special whisker if they ever manage to grow a full
one! I do have to say Ive not seen one break yet and they have grown
fast since I have had her.

This was there first kiss on day 2 together. Its not all the picture of
love that it seems... you can see the fur from Maude on the rug from
an earlier fight!

Day 1 and this was the closest they had come together at the time

What a beautiful cat! Its so weird that i read your post today because earlier today we were sat in the garden admiring the hens and cats and I remarked to my OH that i dont know why breeders say you should keep Maine Coons indoors. My boy spends nearly all his time in my garden just hanging around!He even prefers to eat outside I think to keep him in would be cruel, as he would hate to be kept in. I do dread him being run over but he is a bit of a scaredy cat and rarely ventures far way from home Im glad to say!
