They were moving to 2 adjoining croft houses which had been knocked into one and had a large window seat she would like me to make a patchwork cushion for. Sure I said. Now if anyone asks you for something like this - check the dimensions! The two houses when joined had the roof at the back squared off so that there was enough head height for a corridor. The back wall was all windows ... We have worked out if I use pillows 6 lengthwise will cover the narrow bit and another 7 or 8 widthwise will cover the wider bit ... Anyway - I started yesterday and have done the first 5. They have ribbons on the ends so they can be tied together. I am trying to stick to florals and greens as the windows overlook the back garden. All materials bar the sewing thread are recycled from charity shops or friends' donations.
