I've done a bit craft too!!!
I made this from some oak scrap using just two pen knives and a little emery cloth at the end
I made it for my wife for our 5th wedding anniversary
It took nearly two months working on it whenever Seggie (my wife) went out.
Then a year later I made this for our "iron" anniversary..
I must say those door stops look great!
regards
Danny |

You're all incredibly talented, thanks for sharing your achievements. I feel envious and wish I could even have the patience required to do some of the stuff you've made.
I started knitting a scarf, back in Nov 2006 in lovely, brown "eyelash" wool. I hadn't knitted for over 25 years and it was interesting to be using needles again.
The scarf (2/3rds finished) is sitting in a bag next to me now!!
I'll probably have it finished in time for next winter |

I am a wanna be crafter. I love Cross stitch but get fed up after a while so start another one - I have about 10 on the go at once! Spana is really crafty (in the artistic sense) and some of it has rubbed off on my sister but I have always been a bit disadvantaged being the only lefty in our family and not having anybody to show me the left handed way to do things. I did manage to crochet a shawl for Bradders when he was a tiny baby and am thinking of getting my hook out again for a friend of mine who is pregnant but can only manage to do squares to stitch together! |

I'm a leftie too, and I wonder whether that has restricted us somehow. I think I was very lucky that an old woman who used to "supervise" playtimes at my first school taught me...but she taught me right handed.
Quite often, especially with scissors, we are covering up what we are trying to cut, or using them upside down. |

I suffer alot from being a leftie! shoe laces were a nightmare for me! cutting, writing, eating and I apparently put the toilet rolls on left handed too I have discovered that non-biro pens are made with a right handed slant to make them write smoothly - I thought I was just the unluckiest person when it came to pens as they are always rubbish - now I know I receive a left handed news letter and they do left handed clocks which I find easier to look at.
I'd like to do my friend something other than the shawl but wouldn't know where to start! Any tips for what and how would be great! |

What stitches do you know?
Oh - and have you tried Yoro pens? We use them at school - the left handed kids love them. We buy them in town (pencils too) but this is info on them.

| glad to be of help! My daughter who is right handed likes to use them too - she started using them at college and found it easier to do a lot of writing with them. |
