Oooo - I'd thought of a goat for the lotty to munch all the weeds, but looked into it & they get lonely so would mean at least two then I think I might get divorced, but a pig now there's a thought I'm off to investigate |

they were turning over the ground really well,i'm thinking were the poly was last year, soil is good there ,plant up year after ,they looked very happy and didn't have as much room as auntie paulines did ,but they used to miss large areas because they had to much room and i have loads of spare goats milk after all the puddings ect
how much can you do with 20 pints of milk per day
no must stop

Glad you've got the option of the pigs - but WHATwere you thinking volunteering for the committee ?
I *got* volunteered about 4 yrs ago or so I'm the youngest person by about 25 yrs - I mostly do computer stuff for hem -= plus take my turn in the trading hut which can be fun at times - but freezing in the winter and boring when you only get 1 customer for the whole 2 hrs !!
But I do get lots of top tips and often plants from my 'tame' old boys LOL - Not that I do this --> at all ! |

| Nigel, have you seen the latest email newsletter from River Cottage? Hugh F-W has made a DVD about his pig-in-a-day course. |
