You will have to seperate them or the parents will eat them all, if you haven't got another tank you can get a little net to put them in that hangs in the tank or use jam jars while you sort floated in the tank to keep warm the net is best though as the water can circulate with the oxygen, good luck , I used to breed tropical fish, Guppies, platys, danios and siamese fighters and best of all angel fish |

you will need some food for them too, I used to buy tubes from the pet shop then as they get bigger hatch brine shrimps the tubes were something like Infusoria, but as they are live bearers maybe if you crush some flakes until is is tiny tiny pieces that might be ok do not over feed them though or you will foul the water you can use tiny amounts of egg yolk but that fouls the water quickly |

Thanks GillyC ive got them just in one tank at the mo.
But i feed them just normal flakes and it picks out the little bits.
I won't seperate them yet because i think i've only got three but i think the mother has laid some more eggs |

If they are swordtails they have live young like guppies and platys they develop inside the mother and come out like little commas float to the top then start to swim if you do not seperate them the parents will eat them ! just use a jam jar or plastic box floating in the tank for now do a search on google the latin name for swordtails is Xiphophorus helleri
what other fish have you in the tank ? |

I have this bit of grass on the bottom and they hide under that but their starting toget a bit bigger.
The fish i keep are
2 Cherry barbs ( male and Female )
1 Neon Tetre
1 Guppy ( Male )
And now about 15 swords |

| Maybe he only wants you to rear a few, I used to swop surplus fish with the aquarist shop for food and new fish, after all the tank has a limit of fish inches . |

I worked in a tropical fish shop for 2 years lol. i know to much about fish, got about 5-6 fish tanks ranging from 2-6ft long. If you want a tank full of swords put them in a net if you dont let nature take its course and maybe a few will survive until there big enough not to get eaten |
