| I've bought the kids a cheap ice cream machine by Kenwood for Christmas - so I'll have to be on a permanent diet if they get into it then? |

So....having ressurected this thread....I have a question?
I have some cherries that have been sitting in vodka and sugar for 10 months. If I make one of the basic ice cream mixtures and leave out the vanilla essence....can I add the cherries and vodka/or just the cherries?

| Just the cherries - if you add too much alcohol it won't freeze. |
