............buy it of course!
I was walking past my local pet shop last week when a sign saying 'Seconds - £15' jumped out at me. It's a small kennel/hutch, with door etc, about 2feet 6 by about 3 feet. I'm thinking that with a few mods, it might be home to a couple of 'oven readies' I'm wanting to get.
What do you think?
(The 'seconds' damage was only cosmetic and easily fixed)

| ooer!!! I'm still new to this chicken keeping lark - I don't want to deal with any broody ladies just yet! - But I suppose when the time comes, it will be very useful! |

| so...........how should I go about putting in a perch and nesting box? There's not a lot of space in there, and I'm wondering if a pile of straw in the darkest corner would serve for egg laying? |

A 1 foot cube box with one short side, enough to keep the straw in for a nest box. Depending on the construction of the kennel you can either attach the perch to the sides or make a free standing one.
Have a look at Dopey's coop building thread |
