I'd say build your own. Possibly I don't check ebay often enough though If you have any scraps or can get pallets you can cut costs evenmore. Dopey has managed to build one for nothing! |

Hi
I plagiarized a couple of commercial coops and even buying new materials I came in well under 50% of the cost. mind you it is well over-engineered so you could probably cut that further.

build your own!i just been out today and bought loads of shiplap and 2x1-going to start making and selling small scale chicken houses and runs!real lack of affordable housing down my way!!most housing is overpriced,so get your tools out!  |

| hubby built ours and it cost the same if not more. but he loves doing it, we know it's good quality and as far as the chooks are concerned - they really live in the best penthouse suite around. make your own definately. monica |
