We went to a council meeting last night about the allotments, where we both (were) volunteered to be on the newly formed allotment society committee but..

.. they confirmed

So far it's purely theoretical, (but I like Tamworths too Jaydee Smile )

Any experiences or practical tips welcome and anyone know of any good books for pig-keeping novices. I need to know what I could be getting into.

Is there a pig-keepers forum I wonder..

You'll need a big garden! Remember they need lots of room & they make a lot of mess & poop!!!!!!

There's probably regulations regarding DEFRA too, I expect. But I know nothing of these things. I'm sure you've read up on it already, Nigel.

Good luck (my favourite is the Gloucester Old Spot!) Very Happy

you need a pig rotation system so you get one area turned over and de-weeded for you at a time!
