Really random (and a bit boring) question...

We never seem to retire for the evening before midnight despite better intentions. It drives us mad each morning when once again we swear it will be an early night tonight!

OH and I were just wondering what is 'normal'

we tend to go somewhere between 10 and 11 though hubby sometimes watches film into the early hours of the morning but usually falls asleep and misses the end, I refuse to have a telly in the bedroom

In my case yes!

Debcat, I have often noticed your replies at silly O'clock and wondered why.

I used to have a ridiculous routine of being up til about 3am. Often I would do my food shopping at midnight or 1 am and consequently lye in all morning. When I met my OH I was forced into a decent routine and often layed away from 10pm til 2am just thinking, it took me about 6 months to get back into a 'normal' routine.

...Oh the luxury of being a student again!

As I get up between 5am and 6am I am in bed by 9pm, I usually read for 15 mins and am asleep by 9.30pm. Hubby stays up till 10pm - sometimes later if football is on - then lets the dogs out last thing. We have an elederly dog that needs to "go" which is why I'm up so early.

We are very very rarely up past 10pm, I get up at 5:45 in the morning to take the dogs out before work so by half eight ninish in the evening I'm pooped - Wags (our border collie) just loves going to bed and if we don't look as if we are on the way by half nine he asks to go up - he is so cute! yeah our alarm goes off at 5 so anything much past 10.30 counts as a late night during the week. Sadly we don't get much of a lay in at the weekends because the alarm cat then takes over and demands breakfast by 6 Rolling Eyes

I usually ring The Hermit at about 9.30, just before I go to bed to find out what he's been up to during the day. We are on the phone for about an hour, then I go onto bed about 10.30.

We usually are in bed by 10.00 as OH's alarm goes off at 4.30. However, he was asleep by 9.30 tonight and some nights I am awake for hours, falling asleep just in time for the alarm!
