Hi, I'm getting some electric poultry netting and don't know how large a gap I would need to leave between the netting and the garden shed (about six feet tall) and a four feet-high hedgebank.
I'm guessing Mr Fox will try his luck by leaping off the bank or shed roof into the poultry run - any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

We have a stream (Actually is the beginning of the River Ouzel), 1 field back from the house.
Its about 10ft (3m) wide.
There is a regular fox run across it.
I've watched foxes clear it without getting their paws wet.

So would guess 4 - 5 metres would be an absolute minimum.

For many of them its their first and last visit though.

Thanks very much for the advice. I've just managed to get myself totally confused having spent hours reading the forum . . . a lot of people claim foxes will only scramble over fences rather than make a clean jump and I wasn't sure if a fox would or wouldn't chance a leap off the shed roof and into the electrified poultry run.
