3 lots of twins and 3 singles from my six
I'm really happy with that
there's another that stayed on the common grazing, but she's looking really rounded so she might have been caught - one of the rams from a neighbouring croft escaped onto there a least twice
OH has 35 twins, 32 singles and one lot of triplets,
the boss had a big grin on his face, me and OH are just thinking of all the work that we'll have to do |

Congratulations - I think . Didn't have my 3 scanned this year - probably big mistake - as it cost me £50 last year, just for the 3! One is due the end of March the other 2 during the first 2 weeks of April. Judging by the size of one who should be in the middle i think there may be 2 in there - the other 2 are just nicely rounded.

We've had 1 calf and another 3 cows are lining up, each just waiting for a freezing cold night about 2 in the morning when they will refuse to push |

Talked to farmer over back fence at week end. Asked is he'd started lambing yet. He said next week, then until end of March they had 1,400 ewes to lamb, and 120 cows to calf.
Now that sounds like bloody hard work to me.
I got my orders to 'have a stong word' with local fox population. |

Must be difficult with so many. Only having 3 I bring them in the small barn a couple of weeks before they are due and, don't laugh, i get my OH to pee at the entrance twice a day - apparently foxes don't like the smell of male urine.

This is quite a well known thing - whether it's true or not I don't know, but AR does the same around the chicken run - at least that's his excuse! |

OH and grandson - yes you know who you are - pee in the cattle barns all the time. Infact they go out of the house to do it. Im convinced its only so that they dont have to wash their hands after which I would check on if they were in the house.
OH claims it is to save water
Grandson claims he can pee over a cattle yard gate |
