Another one heading for the sewer!
With regard to the fleece - he told me he wouldn't charge me for it - but I have already paid for it! So he will give me a refund but I can't find the receipt. Just printed off a copy of my bank statement and highlighted the payment! |

It's looking great George and the hens are obviously impressed. Remind me what the 2 darker one's are, they look very similar to my Gold Laced Wyandotte when she was a pullet |

excellent housing your chickens have ~ you're both doing really well with it. Glad to see you have the sunshine for the job today.
With the perching that you've done ~ I was thinking of doing something like that but couldn't work out the spacings so just went for one long low perch. What spacings have you got between the perches, how long are the down pieces and how far up the wall and along the floor do they go? Not that I'm stealing your idea, you understand! |

What a shame George, I though they looked familiar, I had 2 Wellies, only one now and she lays eggs!!
My pekins continue to square up against each other and then try to stare each other down No crowing yet, I have that to look forward to. Still not sure about the Orps, no sign of combs on either so we may be lucky
Oh, and as Deb says, you're not gonna leave all that hard work behind are you?? |

The lenght of the down pieces are the width of a pallet as we took the wood from that, the perches are 2" x "2
With 6" between floor and the first one then similar for the other 2, with about 9" gap between them front to back
It uses the center support of the shed, so you can just lift it all out (ie it isn't fixed to the shed) |

Yeah Julia,
They love their bench
They are now in their new home, just wondering if they'll get shut out tonight as they will not be used to the automatic door!
All completed

| excellent job. If one of them gets shut out can you just lift the pop hole to pop it in or will that mess up the mechanism? |
