You could do worse than make some Swedish semlor! Only one egg required to make 16 of the delicious calorie laden delights Smile

Oh, and unlike pancakes, you can eat them every Tuesday till Easter...

Looks delicious! (And fattening with all that cream! Rolling Eyes )

There's a slight mistake in your recipe Stephen. When making the mandelmassa you mention 75ml of cream but haven't added it in the mixing???

I'm sure it was a temporary lack of concentration as you were delighting in the taste of your cooking! Laughing

There were 16... there aren't now. Methinks we may need more for tomorrow!

Stephen, I remember eating buns similar to this when I visited Sweden on a youth exchange when I was in my teens. However, my memory of them is that the marzipany stuff was baked into the buns ... is this a variation? If so, do you have a recipe, please?

There are quite a few variations on them! Every baker seems to have a subtle variation. We've collected quite a few recipes and researched ones in the condotori around us. When I get back, I can post some of the versions, or Nigel may get chance.
