You can't go out and catch one for a pet as they are protected, however you can have them from people who have already have them in captivity, young ones or kits as they are know.
I have one which is very larger and powerful but very gentle with it, he lives with my 5 ferrets and gets on very well.

| It was their protected status that had made me wonder about them as pets. I'd overlooked captive breeding. |

I have a Ferret that has polecat colouring.. She is very social.friendly and shows genuine affection to my family and I, good with the dogs and cats.
But if you were a rabbit, chicken or similar sized animal you wouldn't like her very much, i guess it all comes down to natural instinct. |
