It's like the hens all over again - we'll just have half a dozen - then kept 8, now we have16 (not counting the 2 bantam males I want rid of!) We only wanted 2 or 3 ducks and already have 6 ducklings. But what if there are a lot of males? If we don't take them we will kick ourselves. I think I may take them and surely females at least will be easy enough to rehome ........... I don't have much room! The hen house chicken quarters are about 36' sq - don't know how well ducks and hens get on - want them to run together so we don't have to fence any more. They have teh old veg patch to run around in - plenty of room there ........

You guys are no help at all! Just feed my poultry addiction why don't you? Pity you weren't closer knobby - you could have some ducklings without the incubation!

Jaydee, I wanted 10...maybe 12 chickes tops. Now I have 100 chickens and 6 ducks!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shocked

Yeah - but I don't have a croft or farm - I live in an ex-council house with a bit of land we took in between us and the road!
