Posted: Tue May 31, 2005 8:38 am    Post subject: We have 2 of the green things; one is a pheromone trap for apple coddling moth, and the second for plum maggot moths. The pheromone attracts the male months in, and there a huge piece of sticky paper awaits them to get stuck to. The females are being got as they emerge from the soil and try and climb up the trees (they can't fly). A lot are being eaten by the chickens scratting around the bottom, the rest (hopefully) get stuck on the greese spread around the tree trunk. Now there's logic for you, I could understand it if it said "sending a spam e-mail" but you can't control what other people are sending you.
