There is one Brown Leghorn and hopefully one Salmon Faverolle, she originally had more eggs under her but she kept soiling the bed and a lot of the eggs quit growing. They were all Faverolles and Leghorns but Frank slipped one of his hens eggs under her in the quiet. The mix egg would be Leghorn X Light Sussex. The color of the eggs were fairly similar so I'm not quite sure which it is but I'm really hoping the surviving brown is from my Faverolle pair.

Regards in anticipation Mandy toothy8

Labour still in progress. Just been out to check, the shell has a small piece missing and there is a lot of shouting going on (must be a boy). The leghorn chick has started chriping now. I CAN'T SLEEP, ITS JUST LIKE SANTA COMMING. I think I will have a cup of tea. It's very lonley in here when you are all in bed. Wake up everyone, it's morning look the sun is shining (well nearly morning anyway) sunny

It's quite worrying this early morning trip to the coop!

Do hope everything goes well and you get a Faverolle

All the best

Fingers Crossed for a Faverolle for you. I've never hatched eggs myself, I think I'm missing out on a lot of excitement, but i think you're missing out on a lot of sleep Laughing

Let us know what happens
