I need to buy a bottle of DRY WHITE WINE for a wine buff at work as my secret santa pressent. I have a budget of £10 in total, so either one extremely amazing bottle or two decent bottles up to that value.

I know NOTHING about wine. So I will need to now everything in order to even locate it on the shelves. Local shops available to me are Tesco, Sainsburys, Co-op (limited range) and 'The Local' - off license chain...I dont know if they have anything decent in there as I have never been in). Or I would buy from mail order quite happily.
(If you could find a photo on t'internet to demonstrate what I should be looking for, that would be super helpful!)

Hope you can help me impress... its my Boss that I picked out of the Secret Santa Bran Tub!!!!!

Try to quiz him on his likes, \i personally hate chardonay, on bottle of wine once you spend over £5 you end up with more money on the wine than tax so go for a single bottle, I would try the local and ask for advice if you are not impressed try Tesco and look for something that is on offer so even better value, I drink red so sorry cannot be more help

i personally would choose a nice white burgundy; a chablis or a pouilly fuisee perhaps, a premier cru if i could find one within the budget
