Hi guys
Just another question what do you not put muck on to make things grow i already know that carrots don't need muck but are there anything else. Confused

herbs tend to like quite poor soil, so don't worry about muck for them. Same with garlic.

Most of the onion family (leeks, onions, shallots etc) don't seem to need it, and parsnips and swede are happy without it. Tomatoes are also easy because although you need to fertilise them they like liquid fertiliser so there's no digging muck in!

It depends on your soil as well - do you know if it's clay (sort of gloopy mud which sticks together and is really hard work to dig into) or sandy, or shalky? Different veg cope better with different conditions.
