We ( the mods) have been wondering if the younger members of the forum would like an area of their own - the adults have the sewer which is over 18's only - would you like an under 18's area to chat, tell jokes, etc? We don't want anyone to feel they aren't welcome all over the board, the idea is to make you feel even more welcome by giving you your own space too.

Suggestions for the name of the 'room' welcome too as are comments!

I agree with Jess, though I'm far too old to get into the 'cool young people's room'

P.S. is it still 'cool' to say 'cool'?

I haven't voted yet because i can decide. But if its youngsters only, older people could join pretending to be young just to speak to the real youngster and us wrinklies wouldn't be there to protect them. Sad

just me being an over-protective nan Rolling Eyes

That's why mods will be allowed access to supervise Jan. We would never put the children on this forum at risk.

I voted yes, allow access for all, but I've just had a thought...

Is it feasible to allow only the younger members to start threads but allow anyone to reply? Presumab;ly that would require another user group?

I kinda think it's a good idea, but are there enough younger members to make it interesting enough? If so it should be youngers and mods only. (I haven't voted to say this though)

Personally I think I'm too young for The Sewer Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Yes, that's perfectly possible. We can also make it so only the younger members can reply to them, also. The visibility and access tools in the forum software are quite flexible.

What's Nigel done to offend you? Wink

Indeed. Already, anyone under 13 has to get permission from their parent or guardian to join. We've been pretty good at policing access to the sewer and bar area.
