The new baby boy now called Baldr [Bal-deer] after a character from Norse mythology will be staying on once castrated. After all he's been through it would be a shame not to give him a full and happy life.

Baldr is growing and leaping around and generally doing kid-type things. Snövit is still a little quiet and hasn't quite got her appetite back fully yet. The vet got me to increase the antibiotic dose when I saw him Monday. I have to contact him today and give him a progress report just so he knows how things are, he may also drop-in if he has time as he will be passing.
Snövit is being so good at having the injections - maybe it's the apples and carrots she gets . I do worry about her stitches as Baldr headbutts her all the time. I know this is to make her let the milk down [and he is always hungry] but sometimes he misses and gets her right on her flank, and that makes her wince.
If we can get this week out of the way the worst is over, and we're on much safer ground, but without tempting fate I think we're doing OK |
