MilkMaid, do the Golden eagles take your baby goats and lambs Question

The vet gave the cattle their TB jabs, we won't know the results of the TB test till Friday afternoon, we're all really anixous.

we are lucky ,we live nearer town but yes they do take
lambs ,and somehow they always chose the best ones Confused

it looks like you will make a good farmer one day Very Happy

,hopefully you're tb test will be clear
how often do you have them done
have you got a favorite cow nonie favorite cow is a cow called stripes ,

We have to have a TB test every year

My favourite cow is a South Devon called Florence. She on the left of my avatar, her mum is in the middle and her half sister is the calf on the right. Very Happy

Does Nonie work on a farm?

Today we have culled 3 cockerels. We are going to have Sweet and sour chicken on Friday. The South Devon cow with wooden tongue had her last jab today.

I'm going to check the cattle now with nan's OH Laughing

yep nonie works on a farm
it's called goathill ,it's a dairy farm ,and grazes sheep in the winter
because the grazing is good there ,she is going to agriculturial collage in a month or so ,
sounds like you are having fun down there
your nan likes Florence as well Wink

you always get some really special cows don't you Very Happy

we have drenched and weaned all the lambs
lambs are now on the machair, the ewes are at home still - the noise is unbelievable
Fred and Carly have gone to the machair as well, hopefully they will stay there, it's enormous and they can't see home from there

well yesterday ,we got back 2 wethers that we sent to town the northie Wink

,we sent is the best lamb i've ever seen ,we now have a freezer full ,a freind rolled and boned it ,there is also a blackie
they had 18 months of good life and went to your small abotior ,supervised by our vet Wink

all those fighting the wind to feed them ect was really worth it , Very Happy

There is nothing like your own lamb is there? Lamb wasnt my favourite meat until I started doing my own. Now I wont touch lamb from anywhere else Rolling Eyes

i was wondering if they'd be fatty ,but they are really good ,i'm cuffed Very Happy

yesterday job was also to sort out the feed store got that done ,
going to play in the poly today ,get some winter food in there for us and the goats ,
oh and kerri my youngest learn't to milk a goat Cool

ok I've not been doing much livestock but tuesday I clipped the colleges herd of store cattle of putting inside for the winter think there was 60ish clipped the hair around their tags and headcollared each of about 30 seconds. clipping was just doing there backs and hinds. not fun with some of them tho.

Hi guys
This week i've been staying with my spana ( nan ) and helping on the farm. But i've got to go home tomorrow Crying or Very sad

I've helped ear tag Percy and he looks smart with his yellow earings Laughing

Every day i've helped feed and muck out the chickens and ducks and i've fed the fish in the lake but now it's getting cold they don't eat as much.
I've fed the cattle that are in the barn and littered them and taken creep feed to the calves that are still out.
I helped weigh some cattle and repaired some electric fencing.
Spana lets me drive her mule about the farm and today i drove my mum and sister up to see the South Devons. Very Happy

We are just about to candle the tortoise eggs in the incubator. Very Happy

today i haven't done that much clear ditches ,as next door has blocked our feild drains ,which has ment i've had to redirect water
brandy moved to his other home and was looking at farms on the internet in canada Rolling Eyes
