Famous last words......
Are you going to put up more sheds/barns etc? or do you want more grazing or growing land?

the old pony stable was not going to last another winter and sheets of crrupated metal flying about in a gale is not advisable
I now have a concrete hardstanding sheltered on 2 sides that I can put something on
not sure what yet, well I have a vague idea but since OH reads this over my shoulder I'm not saying
just think 22 weeks |

had to switch off fast then
OH was reading over shoulder
the hard standing I now have is right across from a really nice barn 10 X 7 that would fit a nice couple of porkers in till they get big enough for town |

Hello everyone, this is my first post.
I am staying on my nana and Grandad's farm for the summer hoildays.
So today with the livestock, I've helped feed and mucked out the chickens. They are not laying too well at the moment.
We have a South Devon cow with wooden tongue and she needs a shot of antibiotics everyday for 7 days, today is day 5 and she looks much better and is eating again.
When we go and feed the ducks I also feed the fish. They are carp and rudd, and take bread from my hands.
In the evenings I like it when we drive round the fields to check all the cattle. We somtimes see foxes, badgers and deer.
It's great being on a farm. |

hello bradders
well done for helping with the cow with wooden tongue ,it's horrible for them ,your very lucky to see all those animals ,when you're driving around ,but it sounds as if you are a real help
today i've just done the usual jobs ,and spent ages playing with the baby geese ,they nibble your hair ,i think it'll hurt when they are bigger
strimmered what i like to call the fruit garden |

That sounds really hard work. Do you have to cook the dinner for your family aswell.
We have got our TB test today and we're really worried as all the farms around us have gone down. |
