| I just leave mine to do their own thing except for pollinating with a paint brush if indoors, they can last over the winter indoor too ! and keep fruiting ! |

I've got one that somebody gave me last year - it's just starting to flower again, I kept it (severly neglected) in the kitchen and it's now outside the back door.

Thanks very much Its growing very well since I potted it on just lost the lower leaves but I'll leave it alone to get on with it. Nigel does that mean I should give it a feed with tomatorite once in a while too ?? I assume once fruits start to grow. Many thanks |

I would maybe repot it into good compost, and feed when fruits are forming |

Oooh glad some people on here have these.....we grew ours from seed and they are just flowering now.....pollenation....OH read that you brush over their leaves and then the flowers for pollenation, is this right? Seems very odd to me |

That would be right - but it depends where it is, if it's in a closed greenhouse then it might be for the best, if insects can get in they might do the job for you, best thing is to look at any flowers which have gone over and are loosing their petals, if you look at the centre of the flower to see if a fruit is forming - it will be a tiny green ball, if there's no fruit then you will need to brush pollinate, if there is fruit then you're okay, my severley neglected one has fruit on it, but as I said that is outside.

Thanks very much, mine is growing quite tall but no flowers yet Don't like to put outside at moment as I think darned rabbits or rats will get it(managed to shoot 3, not me but they keep coming ) Never known so many rats. My tomatoes are planted up in a grow bag and staked and have been outside in the wild winds and rain and they have survived. I'd love a greenhouse but have just bought a henhouse off ebay tonight so that will have to wait a while. |
