Very good Kate
I have to ask...what scale models...Mark makes military models.
WW11, he does planes in 1/48th and Tanks 1/35th
Just thought I'd mention that on his behalf |

Don't think the idea didn't enter my head WT!
NannyP - OH also builds WW2 models, tanks, half-tracks, planes and lately a U-boat. (Inspired by a computer game). Same scales as Mark I think but I'm not very "up" on scales. Now he's swithering over starting on a wooden model of a sailing ship. Keeps him busy! |

Thats fab Kate. Well done!
My Uncle is having an Auction this weekend, hes in Brisbane. We were looking at all the old junk yesterday. Amazing what other people can do with it with a bit of time and effort. |

That is fab! My OH enjoys model building. He has a compliation box of Airfix Battle of Britain which he point blankly refuses to build with Airfix now no longer producing anything.
I made a little byplane and am in the middle of a submarine....very relaxing.
OH will be very envious of that display cabinet.....but will give him a great idea for his stuff |

| Thanks for all the encouraging comments. I enjoyed doing it as it had a lot of problems to overcome. eg Every screw in it was rusted solid and when finally removed usually left its tail end in the hole. It had obviously been left outside in the rain for about a month I should think. Very satisfying to bring something like that back from the dead so to speak! |
