>cleared the channel to the cow poo pit X 3
>washed the cattle crate down
>washed the palour down fully + filled the dairy cake feed shots
>bottle feed lambs
> put the cattle to bed
> cleaned the barn out

fed hens (pen 1, pen 2, growers pen 1 & growers pen 2)
fed the 4 cade lambs & had them all jumping on me who'd ran out without putting coveralls on, so now muddy as heck !
Fed & scratched all 7 pigs (no scratching = sulky pigs)
cleaned out & washed the brooder cage, shuffled chicks about & put some into growers pens to make room for currently hatching ducks.
Scrubbed out the water vat in the cows field ready for the arrival of our first 3 tomorrow.
now going nuts as we have extra guests coming & ive not done the ironing yet !

fed watered milked goats
fed lambs ,with bottle and they are now having weaners as well 1/2 a scoop between 4
fed,watered ducks and chickens
climbed fence into next door and chased the 2 rescue ducks back onto our garden
put archie back in field 4 escapes this morning he knows where the back door is now, some idot put the stock fencing up the wrong way round big holes at the bottom and small at the top (it's alright it was me )
spoke to next door they are quite elderly and are finding the garden quite hard going so they asked me if i wanted to cut the long grass weeds and willow to feed the goats ,they are still planting potatoes
they are really lovely and both from crofting families ,so like and enjoy animals
jan and jill what's going on on your places
nonie said it would be nice to know about the work loads that go with livestock ,and it might remind her that things need doing at a certian time
now i'd better go to work |
