we got our first welsummer egg today. I'm amazed at the colour. Eileen has done us proud.
and at 66g its a good size too. |

Our chickens are named after friends, family and work colleages..
it started with Carla and Lucy who I work with, but I also work with Daryl who felt left out.. Then came Danny (a friend) Ben, Andy, Sheila (work colleages of Steph) Kimi (Raikkonen McLaren driver) and finally Eileen (Steph's mum - she felt left out)
Coming next is Jane (my Silver Grey Dorking named after a work colleage) and Dusty (Stephs Buff Orpington named after the music legend) coming towards the end of June. |
