In our tunnel..

Take a walk with me ok... right side, top to bottom..

Black currents, elephant garlic, normal sized garlic, 3 beds of strawbs, 5 beds of lettace & leaves, 2 beds of courgette, 7 of brocoli, 3 of white cabbage, 2 of peppers, 4 of chilli (mild to OMG !) 3 of sweet pea's, 2 of cauli, 3 of marrow, 2 of pumpkin, 20 tomato plants and all along the outer edge are rasp canes... ohh and forgot the dill.

Left side bottom to top..

comfrey bed, 6 of sugarsnap peas, 8 of beans (runner & climbing french) 20 tomato plants, the giant pumpkin, 1 of cucumber, the fig tree, horseraddish, huge empty bit for more tomato's, hosta's, and more comfry.

Mmm just been converted to Dill myself as had salmon & dill bites yesterday when we went out for a meal. I do grow herbs too just don't know how to fit all I want to grow in the space we have at home. Confused

just grow what you really like and that is expensive in the shops. And fairislefairie, I am trying hard no to be jealous!! it is amazing what a difference a poly can make in exposed areas, especially given the hours of daylight we curently have Very Happy

,i've just been out in the poly tunnel and picked all the stuff for the salad for tea ,it might not seem like a big deal ,but after growing all our food in portsmouth veg wise ,it's the first time since we have lived here ,4 years ,we have been able to do it ,mint for the potatoes as well
we have lost the plastic for 3 polytunnels along the way, once in the 132 mph winds ,most expensive salad we have ever eatten Rolling Eyes

same here & im loving this almost 24hrs daylight ! everything is growing so fast that im out in the tunnel till after 11 some nights, trouble is , the weeds try & keep up with everything too.

Just had our first strawberrys & the 2nd picking of pea's from the tunnel !!!

,just wish i had the energy all the time it's light Embarassed

think i'll get my first corgettes tomorrow i cut the weeds and feed them to the goats in the evening ,with their concentrate almost as a cut and come again crop ,just hope it stays this time it's right behind the house now and sheltered from the north by the goatshed and duck shed
anybody else eatting their own at the moment

our courgettes have theyre first set of flowers on about to flower as do all 12 of the marrow bushes (err marrow jam this year me thinks... )

Jaydee was laughing at me, cos knowing how bad cuc's are for germinating or rather not germinating, ive sown a whole packet & every single seed is coming up ! As are all the really hot chillies, but at least the chillies can be dried. Planted another 12 tom plants this afternoon, so thats 40 in the tunnel now, lots of sauce for over the winter.

Shame the extra daylight doesnt come with an extension of hrs, or allow us to work longer & not get so tired ! Been ploughing for growing shetland bere this afternoon & now we are both knackered.

Not a lot of growing room in my garden but have been picking strawberries daily for about a week now. Also have three courgette/marrow plants in flower in OH's cast off racing tyres (extra wide) (thanks Tony Sirett for that Smile

I should have pinched some plants to try growing in teh compost heap with fleece over the top!

I can stick some cuc's on the plane when they're bigger if you want.

Discovered this morning that ive got 3 courgettes almost ready for picking ! and the marrows have started to produce like nobody's business, all 18 plants have flowered at the same time !
