did that with the ram, he lets us do anything & will follow us anywhere if there is a carrot in the offering lol

just about to go and fetch another cade lamb
he's about 10 days old and mum keeps leaving him behind and wandering off with the other twin Confused

when he does manage to get under mum she wanders off before he's had enough milk
He's a bit weak at the moment so it'll be 50;50, but hopefully he'll pull through

we're saying no after 3 ! i dont have a jug big enough to mix more than a pint at a time ! and you've 10 ! you using adopter rails for the bottles ?

nope, bottle feed each one Shocked

I have to make 5 pints to feed them all, and no I haven't got a big enough jug either Rolling Eyes

the girls help loads, they feed them before and after school and OH helps with the late night feed
I've got 7 now, suz has 2 from me and I lost one poorly one
and I said only a couple this year Shocked

trouble is I can't say no if there's one that needs a bit of tlc Rolling Eyes

I have managed to not have to stick my arm all the way in till today, everyone went out and left me Evil or Very Mad

2 feet of a massive lamb showing, she was a s*d to catch
had just managed to get the legs, head and half the body out when the boss got home
I am really proud of myself, it's the first one I've ever done all on my own with no-one to help with holding the ewe Very Happy

Ive had to do it with 2 now, 1 in the field and 1 on the hill .

As for saying no..... We got cade no 4, a shetland ewe, yesterday. Noticed one with triplets, so went to sit & watch cos knew id have to pinch one & wanted to make sure i got the last one & on looking at mums ear marking it turned out to be one of our sheep.

i've just had a phone call a friends ewe has just had quads Shocked

now i just have to find somewhere to put them
the dog/cat/growers cage ,has the cat that was in the car to go to the vets to be put down (not ours),a lovely maine coon ,that's where the lambs normally go the first couple of days Rolling Eyes

,they cannot go out it's horrible out there
still cannot find the 2 ducks that where clipped and put un the shed ,looked everywhere so if anyone hears of any ducks wondering around on the isle could they drop them off Rolling Eyes

,least there is no foxes to worry about

thought you might like an up date they are tiny
one is 5lb and one is 3.5 lb the little ones ears are all curled up

There's a ewe near my mum managing to feed quads! Apparently she does 2 lies down for a while then does the other 2! Can't be good for her?

If they are left with her they will pretty much kill her, a ewe will, to put it plane, put her whole self into the lambs until she just isnt fit to do it anymore, at which point, its normaly to late to save her. This is why most sheep with triplets take one away to bottle feed.

Lambing here just finished with a bang !

Last ewe we were convinced was going to have a super set of triplets, neighbour phoned this afternoon to say that she had just given birth to a single lamb which was bigger than our 3 week old lambs ! She is one thumper of a lass, i am soo surprised mum managed to get her out without help.
