Its long gone now suz. I roasted it when all the family were here and it was really good. I bought braising steak, mince, sirloin, topside and the rib roast. It was all well packed and the whole service was brilliant. I would buy from them again Very Happy

I love braising steak too - fab to put on if you're out for a while, then come home to that wonderful smell of beef and alcohol cooking!!!!!!!

Oh...i thought it wouldve been out of fashion with most people these day !! I prefer it to most joints of beef, cooking it just like Gilly C does....with Mash spud & yorkshire puds !!! tongue8

Yep, I'm with you lot. Very Happy

I love braising steak better than roasts and like you said Knobby, with mash and Yorkshires one of the bests meals ever, and as Aunie Noo said, the smell of it cooking when you come home to it for dinner is very much part of the pleasure.

I like to cook brisket the same way but leave it to go cold then it is easier to carve the only Roasting joint I buy is rib on the bone, cheaper and better flavour than the more expensive cuts Smile I also pefer lamb shoulder to leg !
