| When I was at school in Cornwall our teacher brought in a caddy lamb for us to look after. We bottle fed it and walked it out in the playing field outside the classroom. We called it Lamb Chops because she was honest and wouldn't promise it's fate would be good. The following year we visited her parents' farm and there was Lamb Chops - or so her dad said - it could have been any sheep! lol! |

hot(ish) flannels sometimes work
or you could try an older cade with more suck than the newborns
It might be the start of mastitis though, specially if she's lambed before One of Oh's started like that
So I'd give her a 3ml shot of antibiotics for 3 days just in case

P.S.
you can get a mastitis tube from the vet that you insert to clear the blockage, worth asking around the other crofters to see if they have one |

Nothing lumpy about the blocked side at all, so dont think its mastitis, but we are massaging with warm olive oil & hand stimulating, I do make a point of putting the bigger stronger twin on that side too just to give a wee bit more encouragment.
I'll try warm flannels & some dandelion brew.

I know you can get charolais cows - didn't know they were a sheep breed too. |

3 sets of twins today ! 2 in the morning, and 1 just an hr ago, of which both here heads with no legs, but mum was really good, we couldnt put the legs forwards, but they pulled out no bother at all.
Went for a walk this am, stopped to chat with a neighbour & came home with a cade in my pocket, who could hardly suck. 2hrs with my 5 yr old being encouraged to let it suck her thumb & he now guzzles down his bottles. Guess we gota look for another one now to keep him company.

had a shock today,
I drove up the road at the side of my croft and was looking at lambs - like normal
I spotted one with a white face and realised that I'd gained one
Wonky was meant to be barren, but she's had a really nice texel X - yet another girl
she's really protective - butted me when I picked it up to spray the cord
thats me done for this year
5 lambs all girls, Scarlet, Indigo, Lunar, Tallulah and Dizzy
plus the bottle feds, Fred 1, Bonnie, Carly, Coco and Fred 4
Suz has Fred 2 & 3 |

Well done Deb, how many hours sleep did you lose eventually?
Is it good to have had all girls? |
