this is trudiewoos 3rd lot of lambs
the first lot she fed 2 and hated them, the one I bottlefed she loved
the second lot she sat on one and squashed it she refused point blank to feed the other 2, 1 was fostered onto another ewe and the other (annabanana) was bottlefed and takes after mum |

every year I say never again but there's something about cute fluffy lambs running about that makes it all worthwhile
and getting a cade that needs tlc and pulling it through is a really great feeling
Oh has 23 left to go and I have 1, we started off with 78 so in 11 days 54 have popped |

A cade/caddy is an orphan or rejected lamb that needs bottle feeding
brute force works to pin trudiewoo to the wall ewe's with horns are easier as they have something to get hold of |

some ewes not mentioning any names ,need a bit of encouragement
they are not really convissed on the mother hood thing ,as far as they are concerned they had them ,and somebody else can look after them i had the same 2 years ago with the goat ,sometimes introducing a steady under control dog gets them protective and they protect both and then everything settles ,sometimes pinning them and making them feed them works
sheep are compicated |

trudie is deb's pride and joy
she is beautiful
but was a single raised caddy lamb and they always grow up to be different
i'll only take 2 or over ,
quick caddy lamb story
when i was a child due to family stuff i spent a lot time in kent
my aunt took one as a favour to somebody down the road it's name was baa lamb ,it slept in the house at first then as it got bigger in the shed but it thought it was a dog ,as it grew ,it barged everyone out the way and would have to be dragged back out away from the fire and was a complete nightmare ,many bruises
the farmer took it back but by that time it wasn't a sheep and didn't flock ,when they rounded up for dipping it wasn't with the rest and later died of fly strike ,my aunt always felt guilt about that ,but it was a hard leson learned,i'm sure there is a few that are fine |

there's 6 of them in the garden at the moment
42 bottles of milk a day at the moment
trudiewoo is a one off, she was my first sheep and is totally spoilt rotten, she doesn't usually like lambs but this year she is obsessed with one of them
the other crofters hate her on the common grazing cos she just ignores dogs when they are trying to round them all up, I have to go and shout her
I'd never have a single one again though, they get way too attached to you |
