i've got a lambing course today
morning is theory on feeding in lamb ewes care of lambs ect and then
there is a practical using a lamb simulator ,to learn lambing techniques
i've just relised though clean wellies and wet proofs means only one thing i'm going to be dealing with
LIVE sheep at one piont in the day
the children have just laughed
real sheep not my little herd who will wear a head collar and collars so i can tie them to the fence so i can worm drench and do feet
without chasing and catching them all the time |

Hello Folks, I'm back! We had to go 'offline' for a few days 'cos Mrs Paulfrompompey wanted to re-route the telephone cable lead thingys.
I saw Sue's certificate today, it's lovely. I'm sure that you'll all join me in congratulating her in sucessfully completing the course.
Well done Suz!!
Regards.... |

Holds out the shoulder length latex & bottle of lube..
we start in 2 weeks, feel free to come help !
First lambing in 15 yrs, i am sooo looking forward to it ! I just hope that every thing the old man taught me years ago is still nestling in some deep dark part of my brain and will suddenly re-appear if i find myself with miss presented breech twins !
