Talking of microwaves and jars.....I have learnt that to sterlise a jam jar you can put an inch of water in it and put it in microwave for 5 mins.....interestly, 7 mins is too long, the water will have gone and the jam jar will break (learnt this the hard way!! ) |

| Hey there - I have a cupboard full of recycled jars and I have so far only made one jar of lemon curd - it is so tasty though so I shall make more soon - I just can't help collecting them, it seems such a shame to throw them away - it's my Mother's fault - she always had loads - honey jars are the best, some of them are really pretty. |

| yes, I had a cupboard full of the 1lb size, but my daughter wanted quite a few, so guess who now has less. Then I made some lemon curd and used my sort of 12oz ones, but I would like to put it in smaller jars. I have lots of large bigger than 1lb ones but the only 2 smaller ones I have, have had spicy things in and the smell is clinging even after lots of washes and soaks. |

Jam jars were from http://www.alacook.co.uk/
I brought 24 1/2lb hexagon jars and lids and labels and they were £24
I have seen since that Lakeland Limited does lots of jam making stuff/jamjars aswell. www.lakelandlimited.co.uk |

AFTERNOON TEA, you've gone all posh
Um, that Ape thing, now it doesn't look like you but the expression on it's face is one you make when you're on webcam sometimes
Oh yeah, where is that lately, I've missed talking to you on there |
